Mario Kart DS

Mario Kart DS is shaping up as what I’ve always imagined the perfect MK game to be. Handheld, fast, fun and playable online. Sure there’s other franchises I’ve wanted similar features on, but let’s be honest here, there’s no substituting the wicked fun wrapped in any long MK vs session.

I’ve had my interest peaked even futher by the videos and multiplayer features offered by 4 Color Rebellion. I’ve seen a few people complaining about the maximum limitation of 4 players in WiFi games, but I’m of the opinion that keeping gaming small and feirce is the best way to keep it fun. If you’re one of 8 players, you’re probably going to come last, but with 3 competitors to fire shells at, you, or rather I, will be more likely to steal a victory through dirty and dastardly deeds.

This may well be the killer app, along with Electroplankton and the New Super Mario Brothers that’ll have me depart with a few hundred of my dollars for a DS (yes, I know it’s shocking I haven’t bought one yet, but I’m a student and nothing’s really caught my attention on the DS, this past year).
